Student Science Prizes and Resources

Science is not a popular choice for many Australian school students today, and this is part of a worldwide trend. A number of science research bodies and associations are offering prizes to young participants to get them interested in science while at school, and as a career.

Molecular Frontiers Foundation Inquiry Prizes will be awarded for the best questions posed by 20 girls and 20 boys who are under 18 years of age. The winners will be judged by a panel of eminent scientists, including Nobel laureates. Selected winners will be invited to the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences in Stockholm, which awards the Nobel Prizes, to meet with eminent scientists.

Australian Museum's Eureka Prizes

University of Sydney's Sleek Geeks Prizes for primary, secondary and university students

BHP Billiton Science Awards for students and teachers.

If you've missed out on this year's competitions, it just means you have plenty of time to craft the winning entry for next year.
